We arrived super jet lagged to Orlando,FL, our flight came in at about five a.m. and check-in wasn't till three p.m. at the first place we were staying at, we tried to get an early check-in, but there was nothing available. So we tried to get some sleep in our car but, that was super uncomfortable and I suggested going to the beach to hang - we could lay out some towels relax and get in a little nap on the sand if we wanted too, so we took a little road trip to Cocoa Beach.
Cocoa Beach is a Florida city south of Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. It’s a gateway to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, they have rockets and iconic artifacts, unfortunately we didn't make a stop here but it's on our To Do List for next time.
We made it to Coco Beach Pier it has bars, eateries and shops and it's a cute little community to check out. definitely worth the drive if you have a rental car.
We checked out the pier for a bit, but drove passed the pier because we like a little more secluded beach to hang out at. We pulled our swimwear out of our luggage and walked out to the beach. There's plenty of lots all all really close to the beach. we set up camp and hung out there for the day. The sand is nice and the water was a decent temperature, not as warm as the Miami water , but certainly a lot warmer than the California beaches, which was nice for us.
We had so much fun we didn't even get any sleep; We worked up an appetite and got a nice tan.
